We were joined by a “real” Ancient Greek and they got hands-on with replica swords, shields and helmets. They were taught how to turn and march when on the battlefield and a Greek war cry. We even had an Olympics between the Spartans and Athenians which the Athenians won. All of our Year 5s looked splendid in their Greek costumes and even the weather gave them an authentic experience today!
